SOLO GUIDELINES

  • LANDSCAPE orientation
  • Clutter-free background
  • Simple staging admissible
  • Outdoor/Indoor (please follow your local COVID regulations)
  • One-take footage. No video editing (unless you are entering in the “My Story: Tō’u ‘a’amu” Solo Challenge – see “SOLOS” page for more information)
  • Camera position – clearly visible and continuous frontal view
  • Clear lighting
  • Clarity of sound

GROUP GUIDELINES

  • LANDSCAPE orientation
  • Choice of background (relevant to tumu parau
  • Editing ALLOWED that bests captures the performance/mood/quality of your group entry.
  • Outdoor/Indoor (please follow your local COVID regulations)
  • Clear lighting
  • Clarity of sound (especially for rohipehe/drumming participants)

ADDITIONAL NOTE

Quality will be judged based on video submitted as is. Video will be checked for clarity, sound, and completion before it is submitted to the judges. Videos with poor quality will not be used and sender will be notified. It’s recommended to send your video ahead of the submission deadline in case resubmission is required.
