AGE CATEGORIES
• 6 to 12 yrs. old
• 13 to 18 yrs. old
• 19 to 25 yrs. old
• 26 to 35 yrs. old
• 36 to 49 yrs. old
• 50 yrs. and up
ADDITIONAL INFO
• Competition is open to all tamahine (girls), tamaroa (boy), vahine (women), and tane (men)
• Time limit: Solo presentation will be between 1 to 1.5 minutes
• Solo beat will be provided upon completion and submission of Registration, Hold Harmless Agreement, and Registration Fee

Skill Levels Guide
General
Beginner and Intermediate dancers who have made finals in previous competitions or have never competed
Advanced
Advanced dancers who have placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in previous competitions
Petit Premier
Advanced dancers who have placed 1st or overall in previous competitions. Contestants must be between 6 to 15 years of age to enter.
Premier
Advanced dancers who have placed 1st or overall in previous competitions. Contestants must be between 16 to 45 years of age to enter.
Costumes
VAHINE/TAMAHINE
• Head adornment: may include fresh, dry, artificial flowers, leaves, feathers, and shells).
• Pareau: natural fabrics and may be solid or with print.
• No jewelry, hip adornments, or handheld props.
TANE/TAMAROA
• Head adornment: may include fresh, dry, artificial flowers, leaves, feathers, and shells).
• Tihere or Maro: material may be solid or with print. No mo’re skirt.
• No jewelry, leg adornments, or handheld props.
